Credit Suisse steps up its commitments to the Iberian market with four hires to its Portuguese branch and the appointment of a new market leader.
The Swiss group has appointed Miguel Seabra, currently head of Portugal Front Office, as market leader for the firm's unit in Portugal. He will be combining this new leading position with that of co-branch manager that he already held at the firm's Portuguese division.
Seabra has over three decades' experience in the asset management industry and joined Credit Suisse Portugal in 2013, when the national branch was set up. As head of the firm's Portuguese unit, he is succeeding José Maria Cazal-Ribeiro.
The Iberian branch has also been bolstered with four appointments. The firm has hired Carlos Santos as head of Portugal Front Office, a role he will combine with that of co-branch manager. Prior to his appointment, Santos was responsible for the private wealth unit of Santander Portugal.
Both Francisco Guedes and Paulo Tapada join Credit Suisse Portuguese branch as relationship managers. While Guedes joins from Bankinter, where he was a senior relationship manager, Tapada comes from BNP Paribas Luxembourg, where he was wealth manager at the firm's key client group.
Tiago Saraiva, to the date investment adviser at the private banking business of Bankinter, also joins Credit Suisse Portugal as head of investment consultants.
