Freiburg-based Greiff Capital Management has entered into strategic partnership with Swiss company Keynote Funds AG. In the future, Greiff AG will act as the central contact for all sales topics in the eurozone.
Founded in Zurich in 2018, Keynote Funds AG is an asset manager regulated by the Swiss regulator Finma, which invests in unusual equity segments. With the launch of the Keynote - Equity Opportunities fund on 1 August 2019, Greiff AG is expanding its fund offering with a focused equity strategy, which the investment team led by Balthasar Meier, Peter Heim and Thomas Germann, who has been operating the strategy in Switzerland for more than thirteen years.
The style of investment of the fund is based on well-researched corporate analysys in the three asset classes: "Transformative Quality", "Platform Companies" and "Spin-Offs".
Each company is screened before being included in the fund portfolio using a proprietary 50-point checklist. Criteria are i.a. a high return on capital employed, above-average reinvestment opportunities and growth prospects, a strong market position, a low leverage ratio, the generation of high free cash flow and competent management with proven track record. Investments are made in 15 to 30 companies that offer growth at a reasonable price and low sustainability risks.
For private and institutional investors in Germany, two special share asset classes have been launched and approved for distribution. Investors can purchase the low-priced share class I - EUR by the end of 2019 from a minimum investment of €100,000. Thereafter, a minimum investment of €500,000 is required to invest in this share class.
