Barcelona-based investment boutique Trea Asset Management has appointed Pedro Pérez-Riu to be responsible for the firm's emerging markets department.
Pérez-Riu has a long experience in global financial markets gained through various senior positions in financial entities in London and New York, particularly in the arena of emerging markets debt. He worked as a strategist for Banca Paribas in London, as a credit trader in Barclays Capital (London and New York). He also worked for Banco Santander based in New York.
Antonio Muñoz, Trea AM's CEO, said: "Pérez-Riu's appointment will contribute to boost our position in global debt, thus bolstering one of the best fixed income teams in Spain."
Trea AM is an independent manager with over €5bn in assets under management, which is specialised in creating tailored solutions for institutional clients. Its main clients are the Cajamar Group and Banco Mediolanum.
