Bank Degroof Petercam appoints COO

Pascal Nyckees will be appointed chief operating officer of the future Belgian asset manager Degroof Petercam, resulting from the upcoming merger between Bank Degroof and Petercam.

Awaiting the finalisation of the merger, Nyckees will work for Bank Degroof.

Nyckees has experience in business operations and technology in the financial services and payments industry. He joined from Assicurazioni Generali where he was global head of Back Office Operations. Formerly, he worked as managing director at Accenture Strategy between 2010 and 2014.

He also held several positions at Citigroup/Citibank such as head of Retail Banking, Operations Director and COO after starting his career in 1986 at KPMG.

A final merger agreement is expected to be signed by the end of the second quarter of 2015.

The future entity will be managing more than €47bn.
