Amundi’s Yves Perrier new chairman of the AFG

Amundi’s CEO Yves Perrier (pictured) has been elected chairman of the Association Française de la Gestion financière (AFG).

Eric Pinon, deputy CEO of Acer Finance, has been elected vice chairman. Former chairman Paul-Henri de La Porte du Theil has been named honorary chairman.

The members of the strategic committee – Yves Perrier, Eric Pinon, Naïm Abou-Jaoudé, Jean-François Boulier, Muriel Faure, Jean-Louis Laurens, Philippe Marchessaux, Andrea Rossi, Daniel Roy, Philippe Setbon et Pascal Voisin – have been renewed and three more have been added: Edouard Carmignac, Guillaume Dard et Didier Le Menestrel.

Perrier said that the asset management was “a key asset” of the French financial industry. He added that the AM industry has withstood a challenging market environment.

Its action towards institutional investors and retail savers will be strengthen as well as its contribution to the economic development of France, Perrier also commented.
