Bpifrance names head of Management Mid & Large Cap

The Banque publique d’investissement (Bpifrance), the French public investment bank, has appointed Bertrand Finet as head of Management, Mid & Large Cap division.

Finet was hitherto executive director of Bpifrance and responsible for the lead of the bank’s own funds dedicated to small cap companies.

From 2009 to 2013, he held the position of director and member of the Fonds Stratégique d’Investissement’s executive committee. Formerly, he worked at Candover France and CVC Capital Partners France.

Bpifrance’s Mid & Large Cap division aims to finance medium and large cap companies with growth perspectives and to preserve the shareholding of French strategic large companies.

The Mid & Large Cap division consists of 64 employees, including 50 investors, and manages a portfolio of 160 companies representing a cumulative value of €12.5bn.

In 2014, the Mid & Large Cap division has invested almost €570m in 40 companies.
