Mandarine Gestion appoints equity portfolio manager

Mandarine Gestion has appointed Sebastien Lagarde as equity portfolio manager. He will be focusing on micro caps.

Lagarde joins from AXA IM where he has been working since 1999 as a portfolio manager. There, he launched and managed the AXA WF Framlington Europe Microcap, the AXA WF Framlington Junior Energy and the AXA WF Framlington Hybrid Resources.

Lagarde started his career in 1997 at CPR Asset Management as quantitative analyst.

Founded in 2008, Mandarine Gestion has €2bn of assets under management, of which two thirds come from France and one third from international investors.

Adrien Paredes-Vanheule is deputy editor and French-Speaking Europe Correspondent for InvestmentEurope, covering France, Belgium, Geneva and Monaco. Prior to joining InvestmentEurope, he spent almost five years writing for various publications in Monaco, primarily as a criminal and financial court reporter. Before that, he worked for newspapers and radio stations in France, in particular in Lyon.
