Metzler AM launches European Dividend Sustainability fund

Metzler Asset Management has announced the launch of the Metzler European Dividend Sustainability Fund, a mutual fund to be distributed in Germany.

The fund invests in a concentrated portfolio of 50-60 European stocks from companies with above MSCI Europe average dividend returns whilst incorporating sustainability criteria.

“We believe that a successful assessment of a business based on sustainability criteria can have a beneficial effect on investment returns and the targeted exclusion of companies with controversial business practices can help to prevent the risk of  substantial losses” comments Oliver Schmidt, portfolio manager Equities for Metzler Asset Management.

The fund pursues and all cap approach and does not apply a specific benchmark. It is open to institutional as well as individual investors although the minimum investment for individual investors is set at €20m.
