Berenberg boosts Swiss institutional presence

The asset management division of German Private Bank Berenberg has announced the appointment of Rüdiger Zeppenfeld to cover distribution to institutional clients in Switzerland.

Zeppenfeld joins Berenberg from State Street Global Advisors Switzerland, where he most recently held the position of managing director and board member. Based in Zurich, Zeppenfeld will now be responsible for building Berenbergs business with banks, family offices, pension funds, insurances and corporates.

Tindaro Siragusano, head of Asset Management at Berenberg comments on his appointment: “We have ambitious growth plans and Switzerland continues to be a key market within continental Europe which we would like to convince of our quantiative investment solutions and risk management strategies.”

“Institutional investors appreciate Berenberg’s approach to risk management of client portfolios and its product range, its experience as currency manager in particular is worth highlighting in the Swiss context” Zeppenfeld adds.
