F&C adds three to European sales team

F&C Investments, part of BMO Global Asset Management, has expanded its continental European Distribution team with the appointments of Robert Elfström, Frank Steffen and Carolin Töpfer.

Elfström joins F&C in the newly created role of director Nordic Region, where he will be responsible for the management of new and existing wholesale and institutional client relationships in the region.

He previously worked at Franklin Templeton Investments where he was a sales director Nordic Region, in charge of developing products targeting discretionary and wholesale clients in the Nordics.

Elfström will initially be based in London before relocating to Stockholm.

Frank Steffen has been appointed as senior sales director for the Wholesale Distribution team, based in Munich. Formerly, he worked at BlackRock Investment Management in Germany as a sales director for wholesale and strategic clients.

Steffen has 25 years of experience in the financial services sector having previously held positions at ING, Citibank and Deutsche Bank AG.

Carolin Töpfer joins F&C as sales support, based in Munich. She has extensive experience in business support roles and will assist across the European wholesale team.

Georg Kyd-Rebenburg, head of European Wholesale Distribution said: “These appointments will enable us to continue to grow our distribution platform and coverage across Continental Europe.

“Robert and Frank have extensive experience across two key European fund markets, the Nordics and Germany, respectively, and their appointments put us in an even stronger position to cater to the investment needs of our clients. Carolin will also play an important role in supporting the team as we continue to expand.”

F&C Investments’ offices in continental Europe are located in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Lisbon and Zurich.
