Neptune appoints Dowey as CIO

James Dowey (pictured) has been promoted to chief economist and CIO of Neptune Investment Managmeent, reporting to Robin Geffen, the company’s founder and CEO.

Dowey joined Neptune as an economist in May 2007 becoming chief economist in September 2009 and investment director in July 2010. In his new position, he will continue to lead the firm’s macroeconomic research whilst working alongside Robin Geffen in managing the investment process to meet the demands of the investment environment.

Commenting on the appointment, Robin Geffen, founder and CEO said, “James’s contribution to the success of Neptune in recent years has been vital. I have come to trust both his economic foresight and his investment judgement. In this new role he will assist me at the highest level to steer our investment team.”

Mona Dohle
Mona Dohle speaks German and Dutch, she is DACH & Benelux Correspondent for InvestmentEurope. Prior to that, she worked as a journalist in Egypt and Palestine. She started her career as a journalist working for a local German newspaper. Mona graduated with an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS and has completed the CISI Certificate in International Wealth and Investment Management.
